Trapped

A small vacuum in the universe

This town calls to the unsuspecting

Lures them with its siren song

Promises the security of idyllicy

Then traps them in its web.

We are raised in this place

It is bred in our veins

We long to escape

But there is no such thing.

The soft pink hope of liberation

Shines luminously through

The cloud of reality

The entire outside world is a conspiracy

Designed to keep us hoping we can leave

When there is nowhere to go.
