My mother Elizabeth Smith Birrell was born September 23, 1906 at 64 High Street in Renfrew Scotland.
My mother was 5' and 90 lbs, had light brown hair and grey eyes, and was called 'Bessie' by her family and friends, loved embroidery, knitting and gardening.
Before her marriage to my father, Alexander McDonald McEwan, she was a servant.
My mother and father had three children. The order of our births:
- Alexander McDonald
- Harry McDonald
- and me Margaret McArthur Stewart
My mother passed away May 18, 2002 in Carson City, Nevada. |
