Henry Birrell

My great grandfather, Henry Birrell was born in Baillieston, Scotland in 1834.

There is no documentation as to the name of his mother and father, or if he had siblings.

He was a self-employed carting contractor, servicing the railroads and shipyards. He had light brown hair, grey eyes and a pin leg.

Henry married Margaret Scobie Rankin.

Margaret was the only daughter of William and Margaret Scobie Rankin. She had four brothers, William, Daniel, James and John.

Henry and Margaret had ten children, and the order of their birth is as follows:

Henry died in 1914. Margaret's date of death is unknown.
