My father Alexander McDonald McEwan was born February 1,
1903 in Renfrew, Scotland.
A marine fitter by trade he was 5'8" and 160lbs, had brown hair, brown eyes and was called 'Alec' by his family
and friends.He and my mother Elizabeth Smith Birrell were married on January 6, 1928.
My mother was born September 23 1906 in Renfrew, Scotland, she is 5' and 90lbs, has light brown hair and grey eyes, and is called 'Bessie' by her family and friends, loves to embroider, knit and garden, and was a servant before she married my dad.
Alec and Bessie had three children.

- Harry McDonald
- and me Margaret McArthur Stewart
My dad passed away July 4, 1976 in Renfrew Scotland.
