12 slices of bread (with crust removed if preferred)
12 eggs
1½ cups of milk
½ cup pure maple syrup
16 oz. of cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon of vanilla (or flavor desired)

Cube bread and set aside. Mix eggs, milk, cream cheese and vanilla together in a bowl. Grease a 9X13 inch pan and then line it with the following:
add 1 layer of bread cubes, spread evenly add 1/2 of the liquid mixture, pour evenly add the rest of the bread cubes, spread evenly add the rest of the liquid mixture, spread evenly. Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
Then refrigerate overnight. (I usually turn the whole thing over for about an hour, then turn it back). The next morning take it out and let it cool to room temperature (very important). Then bake in a 375° oven for 45 min.
