A little about Little Nell

This page is deticated to my hero: COLUMBIA THE GROUPIE. Actually, her real name is Laura Campbell and she was born on May 24, 1953 in Sydney N.S.W. Austrailia. Her father, Ross Campbell was a writer in the early 1960's. She was discovered outside of a London theater as a busker (street performer). She created the role of Columbia (a Groupie) in the original play and the film the RHPS. She had a brief career in England as a recording artist with her singles "Do The Swim" "Fever" and "See You Round Like a Record". I found a site that claimed she was a swimmer for the Olympic team in the summer of 1972 but I have never heared anymore about it. She was also a waitress for a little bit(so am I). She was known as the "tap dancin' soda jerk' because she would tap dance while serving people their food. I think that my favorite movie with Litte Nell is The Rocky Horror Picture Show because she gets to act like silly most of the time. The movie is the best, so if you haven't already seen it go rent it today! In the RHPS Little Nell plays Columbia a groupie and follower of Frank-N-Furter who is a sweet transvestite. Her film credits include JUBILEE, SHOCK TREATMENT, LIZSTOMANIA, PINK FLOYD'S THE WALL and GREAT EXPECTATIONS. In 1985 she moved to New York and with financial partners opened the extremely successful night club "Nell's. In 1994 she appeared in the off-Broadway show YOU SHOULD BE SO LUCKY by Charles Busch and received rave reviews.
