One Day With You

Playful kitten

As I walk up the path to your house,
I see you look at me and say
“Megan, Megan, have you come to play?”
“Oh, Megan will you please stay?”

I look at your smiling face as you leap into my arms
and give me my hug for the day.
I never want to let you go, I never want to stay away.

I see you changing everyday as the past slowly slips away.

As we play out there in the sun,
you show me how old you are
and how big you have become.

You are flying by life so fast, yet you are still so little.

Life is short, yet one day with you
would make it worth living...........

One of your butterfly kisses could be remembered for a lifetime........

Your smile could light up the world,
and your love is all I will ever need....
