History:
The regiment traced its heritage to the Karlsborgs artillerycorps (not
to be confused with the younger Karlsborgs artillerycorp, A 10) that was raised
in 1893 from the two companies of the Göta artilleryregiment that where located
in Karlsborg. In 1902 the corps was transformed into Boden-Karlsborgs
artilleryregiment. In 1906 the first parts of the regiment where located in Boden. In
1912 the regimental staff was located in Boden and in 1919 the regiment was split into Bodens
artilleryregiment, A 8, and Karlsborgs artillerycorps, A 10. In 1951
Norrbottens artillery corps was absorbed into the regiment. The regiment is
disbanded in 2000.
Colors:
The regiments colors are yellow and black. The regiment is the only
artillery unit to use a banner, all others use standards.
