Cut Out Sugar Cookies

1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2-3 tbsp milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2-2 1/4 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Beat margarine and sugar, egg, milk and vanilla until light.  Add dry ingredients.  Divide
dough into 2 equal parts.  Wrap in wax paper, refrigerate at least 1 hour.  Let dough
stand until easy to roll.  Roll on lightly floured surface and cut into shapes with
cookie cutters.  Bake at 375* for 7-10 minutes on ungreased pans.  Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
