No Roll Sugar Cookies

1 cup sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup oil
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
4 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt

Beat sugar and butter.  Add oil, vanilla and egg.  Stir in flour and dry ingredients.  Cover
with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.  Preheat oven to 375*.
Place on sheets in 1-inch balls and flatten with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar.
Bake for 5-8 minutes.  Makes 9-10 dozen.
