Peach Cobbler

1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
3 tbsp shortening
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp cornstarch
4 cup sliced peaches
1 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup milk

Heat oven to 400*.  Mix 1/2 cup sugar with cornstarch and cinnamon in 2-quart pan.  Stir
in peaches.  Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.  Boil and
stir 1 minute.  Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole.  Keep hot in oven.  Cut
shortening into flour, add 1 tablespoon sugar, baking powder and salt until crumbly.
Stir in milk, drop by teaspoon onto hot peach mixture.  Bake 25-30 minutes.
