Beef Stroganoff

1 1/2 lb round or sirloin steak, cut into strips
1-2 tbsp oil
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 sm clove garlic, minced
Dash of pepper
1 (10 1/2oz) can beef consomme soup
1 (4oz) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 (8oz) container sour cream
3 cup cooked egg noodles

Dust meat with flour and pepper.  Brown in oil in skillet.  Add onions, garlic and
mushrooms; brown lightly.  Stir in consomme.  Cover and simmer for 1 hour or until meat
is tender, stirring often.  Gradually blend in sour cream and cook on low heat 5-10
minutes.  Serve over cooked noodles.
