Jacky, born March 19th & Roger, born June 2nd

Jacky and Roger True were born some thirty odd years ago in Greensboro, North Carolina. The home of another country star, Billy Crash Craddock. They were introduced to the public through the medium of television, by way of a show called "The Nashville Revue." They had made a country record, "Raunchy"; but they weren't particularly successful and occasionally became discouraged. With their TV, radio, concert and parade appearances they soon gathered themselves a loyal fan base in their area and in clubs like the Local 506, Blind Tiger and Kilroy's.

The two brothers career took a shot in the arm when a reporter, Bill Morris did an entire article on them in the Greensboro News & Record in 1992. Plus on WFMY TV 2's "Crossing Carolina" with Arlo Lasen. The brothers found themselves a duo with lots of local work after that. They soon had the son of their idol, country music superstar,Webb Pierce, as a manager in Nashville and the siblings have been a hot topic for the local press ever since. For example the magazine 'Triad Style' featured the act in it's "Hot Seat" and 'ESP's' "Musical Notes" as well. A local paper dedicated to Entertainment, Sports and Preview events. Which led to bigger and better bookings, like the Lexington Barbecue Festival on the 104 WTQR stage and City Stage Celebration. Plus eventually in a motion picture titled "The Dam," starring Barry Bell, Sidney Horton, Andrea Powell, Jim Gloster and Hadley Eure with a soundtrack by Southern Culture on the Skids; a film by Les Butchart, a Southern Artist Production

The boys started appearing at the International Country Music Fan Fair up in Nashville, Tennessee and a country music cookbook I.F.C.O. Country Stars Signature Collection Country Music Cookbook for IFCO & Co. Not bad for a duo act that prefers to use backing tracks instead of a live band, on stage. The team has even won awards - 1993 a Silver Dollar Belt Buckle that once belonged to Webb Pierce, himself; presented to them for carrying on the music of Webb Pierce with greatness and respect by his son, Webb Pierce Jr., Most Promising Vocal of Tomorrow 1993, Duo of the Year for two years in a row 1994-1995 from the North Carolina Country Music Association (NC CMA).

The boys have also gained the respect and friendship of country music's two Martys, Stuart and Brown, as well as others in the field like Tracy Byrd. They are seen backstage at many events in the company of such artists, that the boys can now call friends.

In 1996 they performed at the grand opening of the Louvin Brothers Museum in Bell Buckle, Tennessee at the personal invitation of Grand Old Opry star Charlie Louvin, the surviving member of the world famous Louvin Brothers. The event was broadcasted live over MOO 100 FM

Inspired by the Wilburn Brothers (Teddy & Doyle), the Everly Brothers along with the Warren Brothers and the Bacon Brothers; the True Brothers continue the long tradition of country-singing brother acts.
