WMC = Webmaster's Comments

Here is some of my favorite fanfiction. The criteria for its selection are strictly personal, this is by no means an imposition of values. I just thought you might enjoy reading these stories as much as I did.

ALL OF THE MULDERS by Alloway
PG-13; S, A; Post-XF, M/S R (10k)
SUMMARY:In the alien-controlled post-Project future, the bond between Scully and Mulder evolves into a strange and bittersweet romance.

WMC: This is a beautiful story. It will leave you with a knot in your throat, promise. It'll make you want to read One of The Byers right away to find out some more.

GOD OF THUNDER by gillyx
PG; V; M/S R, POV-Mulder (10k)
SUMMARY: Mulder wants to take Scully shoppping...
WMC: This is a really sweet story. I loved it, I love Mulder's boyish side, and this story really captures it.

MEDIAN DREAMS by Snark
PG; V; M/S R (7k)
SUMMARY: Only between two extremes can the truth be found.
WMC: I have trouble saying anything about this story. It's an AMOR FATI post-ep, and I haven't seen that episode yet. But I love the beach scenes.

SUMMER RAIN by Snark
PG; R, H; M/S R, M/S UST (20k)
SUMMARY: Sometimes you shouldn't know enough to come in out of the rain.
WMC: Can anyone say 'wet-cotton-candy'?*L* I love it!

BITTER PILLS by MaidenJedi
PG-13; S, A; M/S R (12k)
SUMMARY:Scully deals with Mulder's abduction and her pregnancy. Set in the hospital following her fainting at the FBI Building.

WMC: This story is a rewriting of the final scenes of REQUIEM, from what I understood. I really liked it, especially the part with the Lone Gunmen; it's just so sweet. I also liked the fact that the writer stays true to the characters and doesn't fall into unecessary mushiness *G*.

ICONOCLASM by Diana Battis
PG; V; MSR, A(21k)
SUMMARY: Variations on a theme of truth.
WMC: This is an EN AMI post-ep, and I haven't see that episode yet, but it didn't hinder my understanding of the story one bit. It's extremely well-written, it manages to handle Mulder and Scully getting over all the things between them without getting mushy or sappy.

ONE OF THE BYERS by Alloway
G; S; Post-XF (12k)
SUMMARY:In the post-Project future, Mulder enlists the help of a much-changed former Gunman.
WMC: It makes you feel better after you've read One of The Mulder's -- There's still Hope! And there's at least one really funny scene with Byers and Scully.

WHEN GOD DREAMS by Snark
PG; S; M/S F, M/S UST, M/S R (36k)
SUMMARY:Scully and Mulder... ascend to the stars, in a rather interesting way. Fluff, with a bit of angsty-type conversation, thus ensues.
WMC: This was the first story by Snark I read, and it was this story that got me hooked on her fiction. The images are beautiful and, as in all of her stories, she shows a rare understanding of the characters and the relationship between them.
