You know you were a little girl in the 70s if ...

1 - You wore one of those rainbow shirts that was half-sleeves and the rainbow went up one sleeve, across your chest and down the other arm.

2 - You made baby chocolate cakes in your Holly Hobbie Easy Bake Oven.

(Erin: Does Suzy Homemaker count?)

3 - "Oh Mickey you're so fine, you're so fine, you blow my mind, Hey Mickey!" was your first favorite pop song.

4 - You wanted to be Laura Ingalls Wilder really bad. You wore that Little House On The Prairie inspired plaid, ruffled shirt with the high neck in at least one school picture

(Erin: Hated the show, loved the Mad Magazine title: "Little House, Oh So Dreary")

5 - You wanted your first kiss to be at the roller rink.

6 - You tried to make sure that no boys would grab the comb out of your back pocket and skate away at the roller rink.

(Erin: Never carried a comb)

7 - Your hairstyle was ever described as having 'wings'.

(Erin: Nope, straight, no bangs - that's why I didn't carry a comb)

8 - You thought Shaun Cassidy actually wrote the songs "Da Do Run Run" and "Hey There Lonely Girl".

9 - Strawberry Shortcake and her friends Blueberry Muffin and Huckleberry Pie.

10 - You couldn't wait to be old enough to wear high-heeled shoes ... the one's called "Yo-Yo's" with the plastic heel with a hole through it.

(Erin: Hated heels then and still do)

11 - You carried a Muppets lunch box to school.

12 - You and your girlfriends would fight over which of the The Dukes of Hazzard boys was your boyfriend.

(Erin: Ewwww! Hardy Boys or Kids from C.A.P.E.R. or Starbuck & Apollo maybe ...)

(TD: Nice pics of John Schneider and Tom Wopat ("The Dukes of Hazzard")

13 - You memorized every song on the "Annie" movie and know at least one person who immediately went out and got the Annie afro. Every now and then "Tomorrow" will pop into your head and you can't stop singing it all day.

(Erin: Never saw it)

14 - You had Star Wars action figures too.

(Erin: Had an R2D2 necklace)

15 - You thought unicorns were real.

(Erin: Thought? Knew! (G))

16 - It was a big event in your household each year when the Wizard Of Oz (also here) would come on tv ... break out the popcorn and sleeping bags.

(Erin: I've never seen this movie)

17 - Light as a feather, stiff as a board.

(Erin: ???)

18 - You completely wore out your Grease and Saturday Night Fever soundtracks.

(Erin: Grease, yes ... didn't own Fever till years later)

19 - You tried to do alot of arts and crafts things, like yarn and popsicle stick God's eyes or those wierd potholders made on a plastic loom.

(Erin: Heck yeah! Still have most of them, too)

20 - Shrinky Dinks! What was so appealing about those?

21 - You used to tape record songs off the radio by holding your miniature tape recorder up to the speaker.

(Erin: Oh yeah! Also tv shows and my friends & I singing at the drop of a hat ... still have the tapes, too)

22 - You couldn't wait to get the free animal poster that came when you ordered books from the scholastic book orders your teacher would give you. Remember? The catalogues looked like miniature newspapers.

(TD: Check the Canadian site here and their catalogues still look like newspapers, my son brings them home!)

23 - You learned everything you needed to know about sex and your period from Judy Blume books!

Erin's add ons:

- You and your friends fought over which one of the Charlie's Angels you were going to be! (or Scooby Doo character....)

- You had an Atari and all the games to go with it! (or Pong!)

- You could buy a bottle of Coke for a quarter! (how about a Happy Burger and a bag of potato chips for a quarter?)

- You insisted on watching Night Gallery in the dark, then got scared out of your collective wits! (to the point of running out of the house and leaving the younger child that you were babysitting, alone in the house)

- You harrassed the boys in the neighbourhood, picking fights and then blaming them. You were all being "warriors", like those on the Galactica.

- You recorded yourself & your friends singing along to the songs from Grease, absolutely certain you were sounding as good as, if not better than, Olivia & John.

- Tiger Beat, Teen Beat & 16 magazine were gospel. And you knew exactly when the stores got their latest shipments (Tuesdays/Thursdays).

NOTE: For the older hippies out there, You know you were pregnant in the 70's if ... from The Compleat Mother Magazine
