Sounds Of The 70s

rainbow brushstroke

The following files are in .WAV format (some .mp3s) and come from 70s TV shows, movies, music or related memories.

I've mainly chosen short ones that I think will work perfectly as Exit, Start or Mail sounds. More to come as they become available.

Just right-click on the file name and choose "Save Target As" to download or click to hear it now.

*Please* do not link to these files if you wish to use them on your own site. My bandwidth use is getting out of hand as it is (thanks to the Sesame Street Lyrics Archive). Just save a copy of the file(s) and host them on your own server.

More importantly, enjoy! And feel free to send in any goodies you wish to share.

Do not miss The Daily .Wav, I've been stealing from them for years now.

Also, special thanks to these fine sites for some of the following files:

This link is for a 1974 performance. It's an hour long (Elton arrives around the 32 minute mark if you want to fast forward), and doesn't include the full songs but the taste of the tunes and the great phone calls from local fans are just a wonderful little trip in the time machine. Enjoy and check the main tribute page for more goodies.
