     SARAH RAND b. in Minot, Androscoggin Co., Me. est. +/- 1790, m. GEORGE WARREN bef. Sep 1814 in Poland, Androscoggin Co., Me.

The following information appears to be a solid lead in determining the ancestry of Sarah Rand. I suspect she might have been a daughter of Lazarus Rand. If not a daughter then a niece, through one of his brothers. (wcl)

2. Lazarus Rand, of Cape Elizabeth, Scarborough, Maine during Revolutionary War. He died in 1816 in Minot, Androscoggin Co., Me. He married Elizabeth (Betsey) Clark, who d. 23 Feb. 1839 (location not given).

They had a large family according to testimony in record but only eldest son James was named.

Children:

1. James Rand, of Poland, Androscoggin Co., Me. He m. Polly Daisy, int. 16 Sep. 1801, location not given. He moved to eastern Maine about 1819 to 1824.
