Run a temped bath with some lavender oil, bath salts and use some pure glycerin soap, (green teas is my fav), light a few candles, put the "do not disturb" sign on the door, play some soft music, (I love piano solos and such), and use a loofah all over your body! The loofah will promote circulation and new healthy skin, (and make ya feel sooo wonderful), and then... soak ... ah, the stress, the cranky overtones... melt!

your life. Practice positive thinking

relieve tension. Make humor a habit

Take a vacation. Take a day or
longer
to renew yourself.

Go someplace & do something
that you have never tried,
never done and it
out of the ordinary!

Go to bed earlier. More sleep
makes you stronger and more able
to handle day-to-day life...
less cranky and irritable & studies
show that lack of sleep is a contributing
factor to the onset of manias

Eliminate caffeine
consumption. Caffeine is a
stimulant... with a big let down and
is highly addictive!

Get a massage... often!

Keep a journal. Track what
"sets off your manic" &
"depressions"
learn when and what
factors set your personal episodes
 "off" And then, take measures
(use your doctor)
to help ward off some of the
symptoms
and help lessen your
episodes

Enjoy yourself. Read a good book
or see an uplifting movie.

Call a friend and strengthen or
create a support network.

Make the most of
friends and family.

Hug your family and friends often
Touch.

Simplify your life. Cut out some
activities or delegate tasks. Use the
extra time to relax through such
exercises as controlling your
breathing, clearing your mind and
relaxing your muscles.

Do volunteer work or start a new
hobby, take up art, (something new!)

meditate, pray or use yoga.

Set aside personal time. Limit time
spent with "negative" people
