Every game requires a strong story-telling team to ensure that the stories and plots remain fresh and unique; this keeps the players intrigued, and also maintains a constant flow of creativity in the game. But with Play By Emails, that task can be difficult for just one person to accomplish. Therefore, to provide the Intrepid with the best possible gaming experience, the Council of Governors has been formed. The Council is the organization that stands over the vessel and ensures that all goes smoothly within and from without of the game. We are a small group, who not only play characters on the ship but also make it our primary concern to ensure that the game maintains its integrity and it's original goal:

"To provide the most realistic and accurate environment from within which players may exercise their imaginations and write a faithful Star Trek story"

The Council was formed around mid Feb. of the year 2000. The names below are not necessarily the real names of the respective coucil members, but they are in-character names for sure. Within our universe, we also step in from time to time to enact our "Admiralty powers".

The Council of Governors is...
Senior Game Manager
Fleet Admiral Ry Stevenson
Junior Game Manager

Rear Admiral Rafe Ball

Fleet Admiral Ry Stevenson
Rear Admiral Rafe Ball

Senior Game Manager

The Senior Game Manager is in grand control of the plot and development of the ship's story. The Senior Game Manager directs all plot and character activity, and generally watches over the sim to ensure all is running smoothly. The Senior Game Manager should be contacted if players have any out of character complaints to make, and he / she has the final say on all Council of Governors or Character-driven plots.

Junior Game Manager

In the absence of the Senior Game Manager, the Junior Game Manager is in charge. He/she is responsible for monitoring all plot activity, and generally works with the SGM to develop the plots and stories the crew encounter. From time to time, the JGM will write his or her own plot, and run it independant of the SGM. If the SGM is unavailable, the JGM has all his/her responsibilities until the eventual return.

Promotion and Continuity Director

The PCD is charged with the responsibility of watching the posting activity in the sim, and assigning points based on the quality and quantity of posts. He/she then supplies the SGM with scores on a weekly basis, which are then posted on the Manifest page of this site. The PCD also watches the in-character continuity of the game, ensuring that no-one "renegs" or changes something they've said or done in the past.

Recruitment Director

The Recruitment Director recieves all of the application characters, and must make a decision based on that submission as to wether or not the player / character may join. Also, the RD is responsible for ensuring that there are always active and recent adds available for the game, and to ensure that the number of players remains high.
