WE ARE NOW FORMING THE STANISLUAS COUNTY SHERIFF'S PIPE BAND.
Under the direction of Band Coordinator Gary Speed, Pipe Major Cory Mann, Drum Sergeant Peter Marks, and drumming instructor Heather Marks, we have begun to form a new Pipe Band under the name, "Stanislaus County Sheriff's Pipe Band". Recently there were some questions regarding money that has been given to the band: First of all the SCSPB is strickly a volunteer band, WE DON'T RECIEVE ANY MONEY WHAT'S SO EVER FROM TAX PAYERS nor the Sheriff's Dept. (The Sheriff's dept. provides us with minamal necessaties that are not part of the Sheriffs Departments budget) Secondly, Budwieser (Delta Brands) is the bands main sponser.

A pipe band is nothing new to the world of law enforcement, even thought a great majority of law enforcement pipe bands are now disbanded, there are many that are still in exsistence today, some of the previous law enforcement bands included:
The Alameda County Sheriff's Pipe Band (2nd place at the 1999 grade 2 world championships, now disbanded) Victoria Police Pipe Band (1st place at the 1998 worlds in grade 1 is also disbanded) The Los Angeles Police Pipe Band (a very competitive and prosperous pipe band) If you would like to learn how to play the bagpipes, Scottish drums or if you're an experienced piper/drummer, and would like to join the band; please feel free to join us at our weekly practices. We practice every Wednesday evenings. Practices are from 7:00 till 8:30. No prior musical experience is needed! For directions to our practice facility. (The National Guard Armory) please contact:
Band Cordinator: Gary Speed at: Bpiper3981@aol.com
Pipe Major: Cory Mann at: valleypiper17@hotmail.com
or you may contact Gary at; (209) 869-2779
The SCSPB would be more than happy to answer any of your questions concerning, piping, drumming, or the band.

We would also like to thank the following for making this band possible, and for helping us out with the cost of expensive equipment.
