One of the most fascinating products made of dough are colorful leceders.
They belong to an old  medieval craft typical of Central Europe.  It is remarkable that the craft has survived and you can still buy red leceder hearts, honey cookies, necklaces with a cross, little crucifixes and other ornaments – all made of dough.

Most of these products have their symbolic meaning often associated with a festivity (Christmas, Easter, courting, weddings etc.). The draft project anticipates that documentary material about leceders in Central Europe be collected by the end of 1998 and processed and published into an illustrated monography by 1999.
