Stuffed Manicotti Recipe Ingredients 1 box Manicotti shells 1 15 oz container of cottage or ricotta cheese (cottage cheaper tastes the same) 1 8 oz package Mozzarella cheese 1 cup of Parmesan cheese 1 16 oz container of spaghetti sauce Directions (preheat oven to 350 degrees) 1.In a mixing bowl put the cottage cheese (or ricotta), 8 oz of Mozzarella cheese ( 2 cups),
and 1 cup of Parmesan cheese. Mix these ingredients well with a spoon 2. In an 11x15 x2 (or there about) put one cup of spaghetti sauce and spread evenly around the
bottom of the baking pan 3. Fill manicotti shells with mixture 1 at a time. ( I usually keep pushing one en in the mixture
until almost coming out the top end or by forcing it in with a spoon or fork) and place in the sauce in the baking pan. Repeat
until all shells are filled and places in the baking pan leaving a space between each 3. Empty remaining spaghetti sauce over the top of manicotti evenly. 4. Cover pan with foil. And place in oven to bake for 40 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for
15 more minutes and remove from oven. For best result wait 5 minutes until serving Enjoy!
Zucchini Lasagna Ingredients
1 pound extra lean ground beef -- browned and drained 1 teaspoon garlic 1 tablespoon dried parsley 1 tablespoon dried basil 1 ˝ teaspoons salt 8 ounces tomato sauce 24 ounces ricotta cheese 2 eggs -- beaten ˝teaspoon pepper 2 tablespoons dried parsley ˝ cup grated parmesan cheese 12 ounces mozzarella cheese -- thinly sliced 4 small zucchini squash -- peeled and sliced lengthwise
Instructions Peel and Slice zucchini thinly lengthwise. (about 1/4 thick or less) Brown and drain ground beef or ground sausage(1 pound to 1 1/2 pounds ground beef or ground sausage). In a large saucepan, mix brown ground beef, garlic, parsley, basil, salt, and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes stirring frequently. Sauce needs to be thick not runny. Meanwhile, steam sliced zucchini 6 minutes on stove top or Microwave with 1 TBS water for 3 minutes in covered container then drain. Combine ricotta cheese, eggs, pepper, parsley flakes, and parmesan cheese .in a bowl Grease a 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Place a layer of zucchini slices in dish, ( as you would lasagna noodles) spread half the ricotta cheese mixture over zucchini slices, layer with half the mozzarella, top with half the sauce mixture. Repeat the process, topping with zucchini slices and covering with sauce and/or extra mozzarella slices and some parmesan cheese. Wrap dish with foil .. . Bake uncovered in pre-heated 350F. oven for 30 to 40 minutes. Note: Cottage cheese can be substituted for Ricotta cheese. Still tastes great
Home Made Garlic Bread Ingredients 1 One long loaf of Italian bread or French bread depending on availability in your area 2.1 stick butter or margarine (softened) 3. Garlic powder Directions 1. Slice bread almost all the way through long ways and open 2.butter both inner sides with butter or margarine liberally 3. Sprinkle the garlic powder on both inner sides of the bread. 4. Close bread to original look and wrap in foil. 5.Place in oven top rack at 350 degrees. After 7 minutes turn bread over and bake 7 more minutes. Remove,
