Смысл ускользает, мерцает, как луч на глубине воды “колдовского озера”. Из-за этого неделимого и непонятного остатка Иннокентий Анненский диагностировал Чехову имморализм. Сегодня сказали бы — амбивалентность.
Короче говоря, Чехов нас — вас — их проявляет. Режиссерски справедливое, если можно так выразиться, решение Юрия Любимова, — в финале его “Трех сестер” Федотик фотографирует не Прозоровых, а сидящую в зале публику.
Nota bene: на самом деле постановка Жолдака называется не “Чайка”, а “Опыт освоения пьесы “Чайка” системой Станиславского”.
Звук виртуозно подогнан к действию. Каждый шаг артистов на сцене сопровождается хлюпаньем-чавканьем болотно-приозерной воды; стоит приоткрыть дощатую хлипкую дверь — врываются шум ветра, крики чаек; постоянен звук надрыва плотной упаковочной бумаги — так “вырезается” в воздухе (стене?) окно; грохочет невидимый поезд; артисты постоянно живут в ситуации этюда, протирают и разбивают несуществующие стекла; в сцене объяснения сидят молча, но вместо них звучит диалог-фонограмма их же голосов… Звук так насыщен, что в нем, кажется, нет места слову — текст сокращен почти вдвое, оставлены лишь опознаваемые реплики. Как несущие конструкции в здании.

... "Cinema Anthropology"? Instead of film analysis, look at our entertainment as anthropologict; study of new barbarians. It's about time. No aesthetic evaluation, but "anthropology of the present" ("anthropology of future" exists already?)
