Membership Rules

 

  1. Any person above the age of twenty-one years, who subscribes to the aims and objects of the Society specified in Rule 2, can enroll himself as a member of the Group by applying to the Secretary in this behalf and paying the subscription as laid down in sub-clause (ii).
  2. Provided that the enrolment shall not be complete until the President accepts the application for membership. But, notwithstanding this proviso, the General Body can admit anyone to membership who otherwise fulfils the conditions laid down in this clause.
  3. The subscription for membership shall be Rupees one hundred per annum; and this sum must accompany the application for enrolment. Members shall pay their subsequent subscriptions within the first three months of every calendar year.

  4. Notwithstanding clause (i) all Foundation Members, who assembled at a meeting and approved this Constitution, shall be deemed to have been already enrolled as members within the year 1998.
  5. Membership shall cease if (a) the member is in arrears for more than three months in the payment of the annual subscription as laid down in sub-clause (ii); or (b) if the member resigns by a letter submitted to the President, or (c) the member is expelled by the General Body of the Society for what the General Body deems to be a sufficient and reasonable cause, by three-fifths of members present and voting.
