Welcome to the AHS Golden Warrior Band Web site!  AHS is the sole high school of the Alvarado Independent School District.   Alvarado, Texas is a town of approximately 3,000 people and is located approximately 20 miles south of Fort Worth.Site of the Week!!!

This site contains many features for past and present band students as well as for visitors.

bullet(10/18/03) The band will compete in the UIL marching competition this Saturday. Results to be posted as soon as possible. Good luck band!
bullet(10/16/03) I have taken a new endeavour to ensure that this site is kept updated. If anyone has pictures form this year, they would be greatly appreciated.
bullet(10/11/03) The band participated in the Birdville Marching Festival. The band was ranked 6th in class.
bullet(9/03) The band participated in the Mesquite Marching Festival. It was a great learning experience in which the band was given a ton of helpful advice from the judges.
bullet(8/14/03) Ronnie Mayfield was named the new head director at AHS. He has already helped the band improve in many ways and has given us expectations for a great season.
bullet(5/22/03) Mr. Haley has made the very difficult decision to leave Alvarado. He was a wonderful director and will be sorely missed. WE LOVE YOU MR. HALEY!!
bullet(5/4-5/03) The new 03-04 Band Council has been elected. Congrats to the new appointees.
bullet7/31/02) Honor Band and OPS results are in:  Wind Ensemble finishes 7th in State Honor Band and Queen City March receives 1st in the OPS March category and Hymnsong Phillip Bliss is runner-up in OPS Concert category-CONGRATULATIONS!!!
