(Thanks to my friend Patrick I am able now to write this summary because I finally got to see the movie.)Akira is about a boy name Tetsou (tet-su-o) and he was fighting a motorcycle gang when he crashes into a wierd blue kid. Then the army gets to the crash site and takes the blue boy up in a helicopter and they also take Tetsou. The rest of the Tetsou's bike gang was a the seen too and they were taken to a near by jail where they were released. Then Tetsou recovers but he doesn't know that the army gave him this phychic power known as AKIRA. Tetsou runs away about 2 times and is captured the first time, but the second time he was able to control the power known as AKIRA. So then his friends Kenada (ka-na-da) and the rest of them go looking for them and Tetsou kills one of them. Then Kenada gets this kick ass laser gun and fights his long time friend Tetsou. And in the end Tetsou dies and Kenada and his friend, and this girl he has a crush on are alive. (I skipped out on a lot of details because I want you to see the movie because it is my favorite movie and I would recomend it.)
