Alex's Web Page

Hi my name is Alex Romero. I'm 15 years old, grade 9 at St Marys High School in Kitchener Ontario. I have Aniridia, a rare eye disorder where in the iris of my eyes did not fully develop. Plus I have cataract on both eyes and Glaucoma. My dad says I am lucky because I live in Canada and I have all the support of my government. My parents are both from the Philippines and told me that people with visual impairment in a third world country do not have equipments that will help them in their lives so, I would like to raise funds to be able to buy some used equipments to be donated to the visually impaired in the Philippines. Please visit my sponsor, by doing so, we can hopefully raise enough funds needed to help the less fortunate. Part of the proceeds will be used in the research for new glasses that can help those visually impaired all over the world. Here I am wearing my special binocular/sunglasses that was developed specially for people who are very near sighted and sensitive to sunlight. This product was the result of my dads research and development. He is now working on a better version of this glasses using camera lenses and video technology to be able to help more visually impaired people. This new glasses will enable visually impaired people to hook the tv or video to the glasses so they can watch directly from the glasses L.C.D. screen with full surround sound. This will also work in computers. It also has an automatic focus with magnification over 24 X.

Another device my father is working on is the all terrain wheel chair. This device will enable handicapped person to be able to ride the chair in stairs, mud, sand even snow.

Our sponsor will donate some money for every visit you make. We need your support, tell your friends to visit our website every time they surf the net. You can make a difference, we are not asking for money but for a little bit of your time. Spread the word and help the visually impaired people of the world.
