Well, my name is Alistair Reid, I am 19, scottish from Aberdeen and I study Computing at the Robert Gordons University in Aberdeen.
The other person that this Webpage is run by is Kim Murphy, Kim is 18 from Meath in Ireland, and is still deciding what she wants to be once she leaves school.
We met online in a chat room, talking about Terry Prachett and the Discworld - which we both love! (Kim's the expert though!) We spoke regularly and both liked the sound of each other and then Kim invited me over for my holidays at the end of this summer past (2000). It was the best time of my life and we fell in love, which i know does sound soppy but - hey - that's what happened!!
Many people haven't said - but we know they are thinking - how the hell can you do this?? But as we know - we speak to each other everyday, telling each other exactly what we think about things and sharing our problems, and we think we are probably closer than most couples that get to spend all their time together.
Kim visited me in Scotland for the first time in November - just for a
weekend, and it was fantastic! :)
I can't wait till the new year when i will be going back to Ireland to be with her for another 12 days!! :D
Circles just seemed to keep cropping up wherever we are together so thats what the circles are all about! :)
The discworld, as you may or may not know (if you don't then read Kim's fantasic piece about it by clicking on the link below) is a fantastic and magical place full of interesting characters and good humor.
