Downtown Area
The next stop on our tour is Chinatown, the home Want to shop for a bargain? Just a few blocks from
Chinatown, is Downtown Crossing. Let's stop in at Filene's Basement, One of the most visited
places in Boston.
Hey, Let's stop by the
The Orpheum Theater Box office and see who's coming to town soon.
Next, If we go a couple blocks up Tremont Street, and
go left on Beacon Street, we come to the Massachusetts
State House. I don't know why they call it the State
House, because it is the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts, but that's what they call it.
The State House dome was originally sheathed in copper by Paul Revere but now has a brand new covering of Gold Leaf.
Our next few stops on out tour are just to the South of the Boston Common along Boylston Street.
First we come to Emerson College. Emerson is the only college in America dedicated to communications and the arts and boasts Norman Lear, Henry Winkler, Denis Leary and Jay Leno among it's famous alumni.
Right next to the college is an alley called Boylston Place but simply referred to as "The Alley".
