Willowize Your Desktop

I went back and watched every Willow scene from episode 1.1 ("Welcome to the Hellmouth") to episode 2.18 ("Killed by Death") and recorded about a dozen computer-related .WAV files to replace the default Windows sound effects.

  • If you love the sound of Alyson's voice as much as I do...
    • ...you'll laugh when you hear her say "Wow!" when you maximize a program
    • ...you'll panic when you hear her say "That wasn't funny!" when you make an error
    • ...you'll feel sad when you hear her sigh "I wish there was more we could do" when you exit Windows.

All of the necessary sound files are included in this one .ZIPped file, plus a text file to explain all the installation details (including legal stuff). Before you take time to download it, however, keep in mind that you'll need to have a decompression utility like WinZip (chances are you already do) to get at the files. Also keep in mind that the sound quality isn't as great as I hoped it would be in some cases. But there's just no way to go back and improve the quality of last season's episodes, or to remove the background noise of the scene the dialogue was taken from. Still, it's better than nothing!

Sounds I Recorded (you can find this on my other site, The Sarah Source:
"Yeah, Big Hairy Danger."
- This sound is exactly 1:00 long and a must-listen to. The famous sound where Buffy lies to Willow and goes on that killing-spree.
"I'm Buffy, the vampire slayer. And You Are?"
- I just happen to find this sound lying in my hard drive and decided to upload it. It doesn't have Aly's voice, but I love Buffy's courage for this.
