And souls entwined

We travel the journey of life

Disregarding past events,

And seeking new endeavours-

Both unafraid of challenge,

Both terrified of change.

 

We laughed together, cried together,

Even occasionally fought with one another.

But not once did we ever drift apart,

And when one of us began to slip,

The other pulled us back.

 

We have such an amazing bond-

The perfect balance of love and hate,

The happy medium between love and war.

 

We've been so close for these three years

It would be a shame to let this go.

However, I don't think that will be the case,

Because I think you and I both know

That the two of us will be inseparable-

We'll always be

Best friends.
