Hello and welcome to my fish story. We all know fishermen can really tell fishing stories.Well, this story is through the eyes of a fisherwoman..It all started when my hubby and I were having a conversation about his work and how he needed time to relax.I don't work outside the home but I am needing some outside relaxation.Something away from housework and the old daily grind.I did forget to mention we both are in our fifties,me being four years older than he.Well we decided, sinced we used to fish a lot when we first got married (over 20 years ago)that fishing would be a good way for us to start relaxing again.Right?...

WRONG...

The next day, which was Saturday,we got up and was at Wal-Marts when the doors opened. We were excited about getting our "fishing licenses".Yes,we got our licenses and I think you can guess what happened next.Oh yes, there is so many aisles of fishing goodies in that store. We just paid 20 bucks apiece for our licenses and now we were shopping for things we really needed.

...Not...

I think we ended up spending the total of 80 bucks for things we really needed.

Ok...after all that shopping the fishing day was gone. The next day was Sunday,so we got up early and was on the bank of Johnathan Creek. But before that we stopped and bought 5 bucks worth of nightcrawlers and earthworms.More money spent on relaxtion. We are sitting on the creek bank and the first thing I get hung up and lose my hook and bait.I replaced them and cast out again, yep, hung up again.By this time my relaxing has went up in smoke. The creek is growing rocks as I cast out and they are biting my hook.I am the privileged one. After replacing a third hook,I rolled my line in and decided to relax by listening to the birds and the creek.

...No fish today...

Now up to today,Sunday again..I slept too late and we didn't get to the creek early enough.I heard about this for 30 minutes. We get to the fishing hole and Lord forbid, there was another car there already. So,we went on down the road, but that wasn't where hubby wanted to fish..noooo..So we went back down the road to see if the car had left..of course not..we drove on down the road and found a hole that looked like it may be okay.Right?

...WRONG...

We get down the bank and are about to set down when we see someone else is already there.Well,it wasn't a someone,it was a something.A snake had already started fishing and we decided he had more rights to be there than we did.We scrambled back up that bank faster than we had went down.My hubby pushing me to go faster.

Now,this is the same day and more fun to be had.My hubby decides that if that car hasn't left yet, they will have to share the fishing hole with us.Well,YEP, the car is still there. We start down the bank, which is steeper than the one we just scrambled back up.Lots of big rocks for snakes to hide under.I am trying to watch for snakes and trying to stay on my feet.Yes,I said trying to stay on my feet.I slipped on my rear and then finally got back up.We are on the creek bank now.I am not getting hung up,but hubby is doing a lot of it.He is sure relaxing this morning.I just wonder what his blood pressure is from all this relaxing?I caught one trout and he caught a lot of those biting rocks. We are getting ready to leave and there is another snake waving us good-bye.Going home to relax from relaxing.Hubby is taking a few more days off work so we can go fishing.I wonder if we will survive this

RELAXATION

I will have to put a post scrip here to let you know if we survived.Have a good day and try relaxing more..haha

Here are a few pictures to give you an idea of the type of terrian where we go fishing.I will have more pictures after my next relaxation trip.
