In Hong Kong, the chinese cuisine is the most distective because the food is so different. In Hong Kong the foods are real authinic chinese food, and they have different types too. Hong Kong has Cantonese, Shanghainese, Szechuan, and Hunan. There are also specialities from neighboring countries like Taiwanese, Korean, Thai, and Filipino cuisines.
Cantonese foods are mainly seafood, beef, pork, vegetables, mushrooms and inland river fish, and Shanghainese foods are cuisine especially appreciated in winter, being more starchy and warming than the Cnatonese. Furthermore, Szechuan foods are the spiciest of all Chinese cuisines because they use garlic, fennel, and coriander, and Hunan is my favorite. Hunan foods are similar to the Szechuan, but the Hunan are more rich in chili.
The people of Hong Kong cook foods from the neighboring countries and these are just as good. The Taiwanese foods are mostly known for there fish and seafood, and the Korean foods are mostly all hot because they like to peppers. Moreover, the Thai foods and soups are hot due to the amount of peppers, coriander, garlic, and lemon grass. The Filipino's include chicken or pork adobo usually cooked in vinegar, garlic, spices and soy sauce.
There are so much more that I have not even touched upon, so please use these web sites that I have sujested cuisine and more foods. Hong Kong is a wonderful place to visit and if you go there don't forget to try the different types of cuisines.
