Conclusion - Scam
The bottom line is that the Amour of Ukraine introduction
agency and its sister site Association Marriage Agencies of Ukraine are
very bad. If you see a picture of a beautiful woman on these agencies'
WEB sites, she is either bogus or part of the scam.
Some girls on these agencies' books are real and genuine but
the owners make most of their money dishonestly from either bogus women
or beautiful 'professional girls' who seem to be part of the scam. Be
warned!
What am I doing about it?
When you realize you have been duped and complain about it to
Amour of Ukraine or the 'Association', they will simply ignore you because they believe there is
nothing you can do about it. In one of my final e-mail complaints to
Amour of Ukraine I warned them that I would 'take matters further' and this is what I am
doing.
Along with this WEB site, my strategy is to approach all the organizations that provide
Internet services and ask them to expel these rogue agencies. So far, I have
found most organizations to be co-operative. They
welcome information about malpractice and have acted appropriately and
ethically. I would like to commend the actions of the following organizations
for rejecting the Amour of Ukraine agency and putting its customers' interests
first:-
Affirmative
action 11 September 2000
The above list is not complete. Other organizations have
also acted positively to distance themselves from Amour of Ukraine and they
are to be equally commended. Perhaps the biggest victory to date is
Virtual Avenue's very impressive response to my complaint to remove Amour of
Ukraine's WEB site. Well done Virtual Avenue!
The next objectives
Even though a small victory has been achieved with the removal
of Amour of Ukraine's WEB site, they will still be sending many bogus adverts
to Free Classified services and Affiliate agencies. Therefore everyone
needs to be vigilant. Please let me know if you spot anything
suspicious.
The next real focus of my attention will be on the Association
Marriage Agency of Ukraine that is owned by the same scum that owns Amour
of Ukraine. In some ways this is a more worrying problem than Amour
of Ukraine because they are pretending to offer affiliated agency services all
over Ukraine. However, this 'association' has only one member - in
effect it is Amour of Ukraine! Having said this, it will be potentially
hard to spot their bogus adverts because they will not be constrained to
Odessa, Ukraine. The other difficulty is that the Association's WEB site
is based in the Ukraine with an ISP called PACO
Links International and therefore outside of the legal jurisdiction of
America and Western Europe. However, I will persevere.
Hopefully I will get a better email address of someone in PACO
Links International who can deal directly with complaints. Until then email
to PACO's WEBMaster. I will give PACO an opportunity to respond to my
complaint. I am sure PACO's clients
would not feel comfortable being hosted alongside a criminal organization committing
Internet fraud? I am also quite sure that Sun Microsystems would not be too
happy about having their logo associated with dubious organizations either.
I think that covers it. More suggestions on this would be very welcome.
Moving forward
Please e-mail me with
your story and ideas or suggestions you may have to more affectively deal with
Amour of Ukraine, Association Marriage Agencies of Ukraine and the
owner/managers (legal suggestions only
please!).
There are plans to expand the scope of this site or to migrate
into a completely new independent site that will include other agencies.
We can do a lot individually but collectively we will have more
power.
Finally, here is a link to a very dubious site, courtesy of PACO

Mail Lists
I can recommend the two following mail lists where I have
found other men who have had similar experiences to mine. I have not
found one man on these newsgroups who has anything good to say about Amour of
Ukraine or its sister organization, Association Marriage Agencies of
Ukraine. Interestingly, I have not even found one man who has ever met a woman
through these agencies. Doesn't that sound just a little suspicious?
