How to get to... Ok now that I have that song stuck in your head, check out my Sesame Street themed post-
I started miter-ing along for the miter blanket. Thanks to my blog friends I have more than enough yarn now to make a KING size throw! And notice how Gordon and Susan (remember them from Sesame Street?) perfectly match my blanket.-- Also check out Gordon and his bad-a$$ goatee!

I started collecting these kits (circa 1978 via K-mart) about 3 years ago... and finally I got Grover (to add to Big Bird, Bert & Ernie) for my collection. Crochet your own Grover is going on my list to do as well. Grover is by far my favorite Sesame Street character (while Kermit is my favorite muppet)

I was representin' the Sesame 'hood back in the day. This is a "vintage" JCPenney's Portrait around 1978. Check out the background screen. I specifically remember asking for Grover to hold, and all they had was Cookie Monster.

Star Blankie-- a knitty quest

I swear, this is still a knitting blog too! I have had so many projects going at once, too busy to document them all or admit to the craziness! :)
I am working on a star blankie for a new arrival expected in August (aka friend's baby) and you just can't go wrong with Cotton-Ease pistachio... I am going to miss this yarn.

By the way special request-- anyone out there in blogland have access to Lionbrand Cotton-Ease bubblegum (the intense pink color)? I am looking for skeins for my next project...an orange and pink miter blanket-- if you have access to bubblegum or have some bubblegum that needs to be freed from your stash that I can buy or trade amyville for- drop me an email-- amy_secrestATyahooDOTcom

One skein wonder woman

Before I head off to bed (rough work out at Bally's this evening) I will share a WIP while I wait for my crochet kitty yarn from knitpicks! I am working on the one skein wonder and it's just flying off the needles. I am using a double strand of GGH samoa in some flamey orangey red color. Buddha is helping me along on this super easy project.

We stopped at VooDoo Daddy's for dinner tonight, and I was feeling quite sporty with the camera--

This place has yummy hurricanes, but another great drink is called "Fall off the porch tea" that is a long island style drink with a little bit of everything.

Of course had to take a pic of the gator... I think we should get one of these for the new house. Don't you like how they use his mouth as a candy dish?

Butterfly Envy

Though Ribby is about 99% done, I haven't had time to get a photo taken... more to come on that one.

Next project in the queue? Butterfly from Rowan #37. I envision wearing this over a tank top for the summer.

My "colorway" dewberry (for trim and straps) and jelly. Found some cool beads to put in the body as well.

Socks- a little knittin' progress
in mile high club fashion (SnB Nation page 181)...
I was able to take some knitting along for the trip- a small project of course with my dental floss in hand! Knitting on the plane is the best. I started working on my first full size sock and it's official I LOVE SOCKS!

Just Can't Get Enough

When one project seems to be going on forever, the best thing to do is to start another project, right?! Here are my ribby sleeves... Maybe I will have this done soon, just knittin' along...

I started this bag this morning at my hair salon appointment... when you have a 2 hour appointment planned, there is always time for knittin'! This is the booga bag. This pattern goes super fast! And for those with a keen eye, that is my one of my world-famous peeps.

Oh a little taste of knitting...
Felted Mystery Projects--- I used Lamb's Bride worsted for the pink/brown/white, and Nature Spun for the green/orange combo. I think Nature Spun felted better and with less effort (effort being me watching the washing machine like a hawk!)

Hey there is a lot to be said for "Yarn Therapy" (What my best friend Kate recommends for me). After checking out Melissa's and Mariko's sites, I had to join in this "frenzy" What frenzy?, you may ask?
The ChicKnits Ribby Cardi! So I scampered out to elann.com this morning and after much color-swatching...

I couldn't resist! Another project I will mix in with my Christmas projects. I am so excited about this cardi style! Looking forward to seeing everyone's cardis!
