We are back from our Hawaii vacation, but yeah I am posting a pic of the cats...go figure.

This evening when I was processing amyville orders at the computer i thought i heard the sound of a young boy at our front window... i was mistaken.  It was "BUTCHY" (we have no idea his real name-- and he only has one eye) the neighborhood cat sitting on our window ledge visiting the ladies of the manor.

Later, Vera got in the window and they were sitting next to each other.  Very sweet...kitty social time.  wow highlights at chez secrest are livin' in the fast lane.

LOST kubricks (kinda like lego people...but cooler!) have hit chez secrest full force.  After hearing about them thru Aidan, the search was on!  Thanks to the wonderful internet (thank you again to Al Gore) I have been able to collect the blind box 7 standard...plus the bonus Desmond.  What am I missing?... the mysterious 1:96 uber bonus Ben!  Just like the show, Ben is evil, even to collect, go figure.  I like that each of these kubricks (except Desmond) come with their own accessory.

 I am also impressed with details, down to the coiffed hair wigs.  Vera (aka the Black Smoke Monster) batted Locke around and wouldn't leave Charlie alone during the photo shoot.

This weekend we celebrated the one year "adoption day" for Vera and Coco.  What a fun year it has been having 2 kittens in the house.  Here is a flash back. 

I have lost count of the items they have broke or destroyed... but they are earning their keep as the reindeer on the amyville shipping sled this holiday season...payback is hell.   :)  I am still working on getting a photo of both in their gear.

- though I think the cats may plot revenge later today.

Things are just slightly off at the Secrest household.  The the plumber comes tomorrow to fix our disposal.  Dinners out this week make me super sleepy.  After returning home from dinner we found Vera in a " new" place, about nine feet from the floor...nice. Note creepy goosebump style glow-ee eyes, just in time for halloween, very creepy.

Looks like a fruit bat.  We have a strict no counter policy for our cats, as you can see Vera surely adheres to it while we are out.

Decided to have a professional "blow out" at the salon yesterday, so here is the second day greatness of straight hair captured for history.-- as its going back to curly at 5 am Thursday.  Talk about a shocker to come to work like this today, threw everyone off. :)

Vera Wang and Coco Chanel are both amyville office helpers.  Vera loves to get the "birds eye laser printer view" while Coco takes breaks to peek out the window at the bird show-

We are happy to introduce our two little girls...

Vera Wang
4 month old Black Siamese Mix

Coco Chanel
5 month old Blond Tabby

We adopted them from the same home (my cousin's house) where we got Canella from in Tucson.  My cousin is a kitty and doggie foster mom for SAFE (Saving Animals From Euthanasia).  The two are inseparable (were kitty kennel buddies) and we are starting to see their personalities- Coco is the laid back one, while Vera is the wild child.
