The mini aussie is a smaller version of the standard aussie.
The size range is from 13" to 17" for the mini and 13" and
under for the toys.
At maturity the mini will weight approximately 15 to 35
pounds. Where as the toy will be between 8 and 15 pounds.
They are very athletic and alert. They come in colors of
blue merle, red merle, black or red, all with or without
copper/tan and white trim. Their eyes may be blue, brown,
amber, or one blue, one brown, flecked or marbled. The tails
are sometimes natural bobs or they may be docked.
The mini aussie is easily trained and a natural protector
of the home. They are very confident and most all have a
natural herding instinct.
The Miniature Australian Shepherd is recognized by the
American Rare Breed Association. They can be registered
with the North American Miniature Shepherd Club of the U.S.A.
(NAMASCUSA). The National Stock Dog Registry (NSDR) and Miniature
Australian Shepherd Club of America (MASCA)
Due to my work schedule being an American Hospice R.N. and
my Daughter attending college plus all our other ventures we
just found that we couldn't give further litters the attention
they need to become excellent, well adjusted, puppies for
potential buyers.
We have had so many calls for puppies we just couldn't keep
up with everyone's needs and since we are very careful who
we refer them to due to some breeders do not breed for the
betterment for the breed but just breed for puppies to sell
we have decided to allow a good friend of ours who has raised
registered dogs to adopt our mini's for a while to help us out.
Anyone who would like to enquire about possible litters from
our good friend please just email us and we will get back to
you as soon as possible.
