Overall Grade: B- (81%) Okay, but really cheesy and the chracters were slightly bland. A breast shot, and a couple of swear words. Music was really loud.

Heather's Casshan: Robot Hunter review

Hmm... CASSHAN! Such a winning video, may I tell you! We rented the PERFECT COLLECTION! And when I noticed that label on it, I yelled, "GOD, THERE'S MORE?!"

A wonderful little intro done by the ever-so-courteous ME. Anyway, a guy named the Black King wants to take over humanity. So he pretty much DOES. That's a first. He enslaves all of the humans into doing work for him and his minions. There have been a few cases of someone trying to help the humans escape, and he is known as "Casshan, the robot hunter." You see, the Black King is an android built by someone years back. A malfunction occured, and, well, everything went KABLOWY. Or something to that effect.

Well, it turns out Casshan is a cross-dresser. Well, not really. A girl who used to go out with him (named Luna) is dressing up like the infamous Casshan and freeing people from the prisons as she searches for her lost love. When she finally does meet up with him, she finds out a HORRIBLE SECRET that he has been hiding. They gang up together to get revenge against the Black King (for something that he did in the past; I can't say what, because it is a spoiler). They also take along Casshan's dog, but I can't remember its name. It was something really cheesy like ROBODOG or something.

Anyway, Casshan starts seeing this weird robotic swan, which projects images of his parents out to him. It makes him get headaches and his vision goes bad. What is wrong with him? Will he and Luna defeat the Black King? Will they successfully place their revenge on him? Where did the Black King come from, anyway...?

Violence, nudity, swearing. The label on the box says "absolutely not for children." They would be right. But hey, I've seen worse.

Heather's ratings

4/5 It made an attept, but got lost somewhere back in Casshan's cheesy self-pity stories.

Music

3/5 Make it STOP. This is almost as bad as YUNA.

Sexual Content

5/5 None that I can think of....

Nudity

Profanity

4/5 They swore. Oh, the horror.

Overall goodness

4/5 Let's just say that It isn't one I really HAVE to own. I would think it is worth the rent, but not to buy or watch over and over again.

Totals: 40/50, or Casshan is a loser. Ok, it wasn't too bad. See comment ABOVE!

Megan's Casshan: Robot Hunter Review

In the future, robots have enslaved the Earth. They have enslaved the human race. People only have one hope: Casshan. He is our Savior, our light. Blah blah blah. But no one's ever seen Casshan. The Black King is the leader of these robots. He keeps all the really ugly robots as slaves, who enslave the humans to make more robots. Yeah, yeah. So one night, someone shows up. Robots are totally sure this person is Casshan, since all humans are enslaved, and none could excape but the all-mighty Casshan. Yeah. It's not really Casshan, but a lady named Luna. She is looking for Casshan and freeing humans as she goes. She gets the prisoners to help her. They destroy many robots, and Luna eventually gets captured. They hand her on a cross, and will execute her in the morning. But the prisoners rally, and Casshan saves Luna! Hooray. So they head off, and they are going to destroy the BK-1, also affectionatly called Black King. Hahahaha. But Casshan sees this robotic swan all the time, his vision is blurring, and his robo-mutt is acting weirder and weirder. Is he gonna die? Is he even human at all? Will they destroy the BK-1?

This show was so incredibly cheesy. Good, but you didn't really feel for the characters because they were so constanly cheesy.
