Demon City Shinjuku is a really cool movie. There really isn't a lot to say about it, except that there were many cool fighting scenes, a ton of violence (hence the fighting scenes), a ton of swearing, and badly dubbed english voices (not on the timing, that was good- the voices were too cheesy!).
It starts off with this dude named Rebi-Ra fighting this other dude, of whom I cannot remember his name. He was Kyoya's dad, which you find out later (you will get to know Kyoya well. He talks to himself a lot). Anyway, Rebi-Ra says he will cover the city in darkness slowly. And when he says slowly, HE MEANS IT! It takes place over a time span of ten years, during this time he charges up his demonic powers and releases demons into the city of Tokyo (the Shinjuku district).
So the time has almost come. People are not aware of the grave DANGER they are in. No one except an old floating wise-man. This wise-man (master Rai) comes and visits Kyoya during his training sessions. Master Rai tells Kyoya that he must defend Shinjuku, blah blah blah. Kyoya is all ignorant and doesn't want to do it. So he leaves the old man a-talking. As he rides his really cool bike away (sarcasm, people), a girl (who he thinks is so CUTE) asks him to help her. Her name is Sayaka. Sayaka's father was the ambassador of a company and they weren't expecting what happened to him... to happen (I can't tell you or it will spoil some of the story). So she needs Kyoya's help to save him.
Well, that's about all I can say for now. There are many, many MANY swear words galore in this one, so be on the lookout. There is a scene of detailed nudity, although it is quick. There are also quite a few references to sexual... things. Oh yeah, and lotsa gore.
5/5 Yes, I liked it. I like demonic stories.
4/5 Mephisto was there, and so was andele andele! dude (Chibi was his real name, but he talked like speedy gonzales!).
5/5 It was good most of the time...
5/5 Gotta love that cheesy 80's music! YEAH!
4/5 There were two attempted rape scenes- one by a female demon, and the other by some men to poor, helpless Sayaka. A rather rude comment was also made by Kyoya when they had to share a room together.
4/5 As I stated before, some scenes with nudees, yes they were detailed.
4/5 Blood and gore galore. Hehehe.
5/5 I like this style. It was good for the time it was made, or so I think. This guy has a very distinctive style (he also did City Hunter).
3/5 A ton of it. This is the third anime I have seen where they use the f-word. This has to be the most profane (language-wise) that I have seen yet. We counted 13 f-words.
5/5 I liked it a lot! Dubbing can always improve.. but at least I own this gem. (hehehehe. Gem.)
Totals: 44/50, or very good. Even though this rated a little lower on the scale, it is still a classic anime. All fans of the occult should see this.
Let the demonic bloodshed begin.. a good movie for Dorothy Catalonia.. (Gundam Wing talk again.. ignore that comment if you haven't met the queen of bloodshed. BLOOOOODSHEDD!!!)
I shall introduce a few characters.
Kyoya: Swear happy dude who walks softly and carries a big stick. Literally. He likes girls. He likes to say the f-word. He likes to hit things with the stick. That's about all there is to him.
Sayaka: Sweet girl who talks peace. She has a killer ring. Literally. It shoots laser beams. BZZZZZ!! Watch out! There went a demon's head!! She is the presient's daughter. Pink-child.
Chibi: A little boy who still wets the bed. Okay, he's not so little. He's about 12 or 13. He has a two headed doggie-poo. The doggie growls at people.
Mephisto: A DAAAARK and MYSTERIOUS man. He is philosophical. A total bishi.
Let me say this: I liked all the characters. I also like to pick on them. LET THE PICKING BEGIN!!
So the city of Tokyo, actually, in Shinjuku, there is a demon invasion. And this demon invasion is no regular one we call in Sailor Moon in to solve. This is a total, REAL invasion. People actually die. Rebi Rah is kinda a psycho.. He wants to kill all humanity and stuff. Oh, no. What an original goal. So, we've got to send a savior to all humanity! So let's pick the biggest loser we can. One who's swear-happy. One who grabs girls' butts and says things like, "Touchdown! Or should I say.. touch-up?" One who cannot drive. He still rides his BMX around. One who is far too lazy to save his own butt, plus many other butts. Hey, Kyoya fits that description well!! Let's send HIM! So, he refuses. Wow. What a surprise. Then, let's throw in a loser girl, too. She is wimpy, tries to talk peace and love to DEMONS. Do ya think they care??? NO! Do you think they'll listen? NO! So she's dead meat out there. Let's throw in a little loser kid, too. One who talks like Speedy Gonzales. And who, and thirteen years of age, still wets the bed. (he had a good reason, actually.) On top of these winners, let toss into the batch a weird, philosophical guy who serves no real purpose but to look cool and add another character!! (that's the Mephisto-meister.) But, I loved this show.
5/5 Excellent.. *clasps fingers together...*
5/5 Good, but except on Mephisto
5/5 It was good... goood.. gooood... goooood...gooooood
5/5 Cheesy 80's goodness.
4/5 Some attempted rape scenes... blah blah blah.
4/5 This is an almost no-nudity horror movie! AND GUESS WHAT?? It wasn't a woman in the shower!! But it WAS a nakee demon.. -_- ()
4/5 Buckets and buckets of severed body parts and buckets of blood. ^________________^ I smile big at that (actually, it looks like a squished face, which was run over by a truck)
5/5 Really unique style!! ^________________^ I smile big at that, too
3/5 F-YOU!! This is the most profane anime I've seen! I LOVE IT!! ^______________________^ Smile BIIIIG!
5/5 SO GOOD! (every NIIIIGHT!!)
Totals: 45/50, EEKY EEKY!
TOTAL SCORE : 44.5/50 GOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Demon City is a show recommended to viewers who like blood and gore. It's got all of the weird demon character designs you could want, potty language, cool fights, and some subtle humor. We recommend you see it subbed over dubbed, because the dubbed voices got a little overdramatized ^_^.
