I have only seen the first tape in this series, and I will only get to see the first tape. The second tape was never released here, and the third tape was such a flop they don't sell it at all anymore, I don't think. However, the second tape is available, but only in Japanese, no subtitles.
Dragon Half has to be the cookiest love story (well... kind of) that I have seen yet. A dragon and a dragon slayer fall in love, and get married. They have a girl, named Mink. Mink therefore would be half dragon and half human.
There are some other pretty odd characters in this story, too. These include Mappy, a gerbil mouse thing that can transform into a huge gerbil mouse thing. There is a princess, who is after the famous Dick Saucer, a half Merman half human singer. (this is not mentioned in the first tape, I have found this out through other various sources.) Mink is also after this handsome devil!! ^_^ Mink is on a journey not only to get Dick Saucer, but to find a people-potion, which will turn her into a human.

I LOVE DRAGON HALF!! It is one of the silliest, cutest, funniest, and stupid... well, not stupid, but takes no thinking to get the story. (if you're really intelligent, you might get bored by utter stupidity.) Mink is the half-dragon. Red dragon, too. Those are tough, and they breathe fire, and they... I don't really know. Only one tape is available to me, because I don't know Japanese. Retail is about 26.95, only available in subtitled format. Sorry, dubbers. Lufa, Pia, Damaramu, Rosaio, King Civa, (that's a king?) Princess Vina, Roshi, Dick Saucer, and a bunch of other crazy characters that really are just simply hilarious.
Oh.. update! Update! Dragon Half has recently become available DUBBED!! Yes, DUBBED!! Scratch the 'sorry, dubbers'. And.. you know what? Soon, very soon, I shall get the fansubbed.
And you know WHAT?? I shall attempt to post them, make them available to you people out there! You can thank me when I get them up... -_^ We will try to get some fansubbed things up. It's a goo thing, okay?
So, Mink wants to become human. Why? So Saucer will fall in love with her! DUH! But. Mink's got problems. So, she's off to find the legendary "peedo potion". Or, People Potion. UYAY!!

Dragon Half is a funny, weird comedy that is recommended for viewers who like "fun" shows. It doesn't really have a point to it, it's just for humor. It has a very brief nude shot right at the end, and Mink has kind of a perv for a father. There's a little bit of swearing and blood as well. We recommend you see it subbed.
