I will attempt to tell you what I have gathered of the storyline from Gundam Wing. At the moment, we have seen most of the first part of the series, and some of the last episodes. I can kind of fill in the pieces on my own. I have seen enough to know what happened. So anyway, on to the review.
In the year A.C. 195, (after colony 195) the colonies and the Earth are on the verge of a war. The colonies are naturally peaceful, so they don't want to start a war. So these scientists get together and out of a very powerful alloy, gundanium, they build 5 giant robots, called "Gundams" and send them to Earth disguised as shooting stars. In the robots, they send five young boys: Hiro Yuy, Duo Maxwell (yay! Duo! He is the coolest!), Quatre (pronounced ""Ke-tra") Winner, Trowa Barton, and Wufei Chang. The reason they were sent to Earth was for protection against the Alliance and OZ. They are to protect everyone to avoid war, the colonies (located in space) and the Earth. All of this is referred to as "Operation Meteor."
The Alliace is an evil military corporation that hates everyone. OZ is a secret operation run by Leutenant Zechs. The Alliance catches onto operation meteor,and decide they have to destroy the Gumdams before the Gundams destroy them. Both the Alliance and OZ have prety much the same goal in the beginning. That would be to destroy the Gumdams. However, later on, it is to assassinate people that are in the way of causing trouble, finding out lost peoples' pasts, and, for one obsessed person, to destroy the Earth so everyone will be at peace.
Storyline
5/5 Quite confusing at times, but as a whole it is good.

5/5 Um... all of the guys are hot.. I mean... um... the character development is great. All of the characters are well-rounded.

5/5 It gets deeper later on, and it is hard to grasp the first time you see it (we have seen it twice now).

5/5 People love each other. Cartoon Network is playing it uncut, but I'm not sure that those scenes are kept. There may be something going on between two of the boys. I know they kiss in one scene.

Totals: 48/50, or most excellent! This is my all-time favorite anime. I am obsessed with Gundam Wing. I like it better than ANY others that I have seen so far, and therefore I brag it up. You may not like the military tactics in the show. So it's definately not for everybody... but I recommend it to any fan of GIANT ROBOTS!!! Which I have an obsession with... -_-()
Yeah, it's a good thing. The colonies founded by Earth are out in space, and afraid of the Alliance and OZ. So, they make big robots and send them to Earth, making people think that they are shooting stars.. but shooting stars don't look like big robots. Oh well, they tried. So, since this wasn't such a good idea, both the Alliance and OZ caught on! They attacked, and the people inside escaped unharmed.. except for Heero, but when's he EVER okay? Come on, the guy explodes himself the opposite way of which he wants to go on PURPOSE. So the Gundams fight for whomever's the highest payer! They defend people loyally. The five boys are Heero Yuy, big secretive guy, Duo Maxwell, tries so hard to be cool, Quatre (ket-ra) Winner, violin kid with 'cool' goggles, Trowa Barton, part-time clown and plays the flute with Quatre, and Wufei Chang, who no one likes cause they THINK he's a big poo-poo head. BUT.. he's like Mitsukake. Ya gotta get to know him. I now think Wufei is AWESOME, and I LOVE WUFEI!! He's so cool! And he isn't THAT sexist. He's got his reasons. (I also really like Trowa. I love them all!)
