Overall Grade: A- (90%) Very good, but lots of undetailed (and the occasional detailed) nudity, some mild swearing, and violence.

Heather's Moldiver Review

Moldiver is a cute-cute type show based upon the wonderfulness of a fourth dimension being worn upon the body. That sentence was really awkward. Oh well.

Hiroshi is a guy who is a genius, and he doesn't have a girlfriend, or friends for that matter. He sits around his computer all day and tries to design things. So he comes up with a way to harness power from something called the "mol-unit." Since Hiroshi wants to be noticed, but not in the normal way, he uses his mol-unit to design a super-hero's outfit. He makes himself look really buff. Then he goes around and saves people in Tokyo from the clutches of evil. This suit he designed is a fourth dimension, worn on the body. Therefore, nothing in the real world can harm the wearer, because it is not in that dimension.

Somewhere in there, things get a little mixed up. Mirai, Hiroshi's younger sister, decides that she wants to screw around with the computer. She gets into the mol-unit and changes things around. You see, Mirai is a really girly type girl (if you know what I mean), and she doesn't like the buff man super hero. Instead, she alters the suit to look WAY more feminine.

The next time Hiroshi tries to transform into the infamous Moldiver (his name for the mol-unit transformed) , he looks like a girl. He is stuck inside of a girl's outfit... how embarrassing. So Hiroshi confronts Mirai, who is exposed as the re-programmer. She now knows the secret of who this Moldiver is, and she wants to use the suit for her own purposes.

They have a dilemma here. One wants to use the suit for fighting against evil, and the other wants to use it to fly around the world so she can go shopping. However, both Mirai and Hiroshi are plunged into a scheme involving Hiroshi's old classmate (who is in the space program), and a mysterious man who calls himself Dr. Machinegal. Something twisted is going on, and it is up to one Moldiver or the other to save the day... again.

Things to watch out for in Moldiver is EXCESSIVE NUDITY! Whenever someone transforms into Moldiver, or de-transforms, they are naked. This includes females as well as males. But there is, for the most part, no detail in the nudity. The last episode or two has some slight detail in the female's part, of course. There is some mild swearing, but nothing too bad. There is also violence, but it's mostly just kicking people around in their suits. However, in the last episodes, there is some blood and gore. Cool!

Heather's ratings

Storyline

5/5 Very cute and things of the sort.

Character Development

5/5 Well done. Especially on Mirai's friend, Mao. She is so full of herself and thinks she is so cool. Then she wanders around everywhere dressed like dogs, cats, frogs, ships, and god knows what else.

Plot Depth

5/5 It actually got deeper about half way through.

Music

4/5 It was incredibly cheesy and annoying. But nothing, and I mean NOTHING can beat Yuna's singing.

Sexual Content

5/5 None.

Nudity

3/5 People were naked a lot. There was some detail in the last two (out of six) episodes.

Violence/Gore

3/5 There was some throughout the whole show, but actually gory stuff didn't really happen until one scene in episode five.

Animation

5/5 It was goo (goo = good) for the time it was made.

Profanity

4/5 Yeah they swore. It wasn't bad.

Overall goodness

5/5 I thought it was good, cute, funny, and overall, it gave you a warm fuzzy feeling.

Totals: 44/50, or good.

Megan's Moldiver Review!

METAMORFORCE!!!! Geez, I wish I had a Mol-Unit. Mol-Units are rippin' boss mondo-cool. Anyway, Moldiver is about a guy named Hiroshi Ozora. He has s sister, Mirai, and a little brother, Nozomu. He invents this nifty little thing called a Mol-Unit. Hiroshi is now MOLDIVER! He defnds Tokyo against all evil and he is a media darling. Everyone loves him. Yay yay. Well, Mirai, being the little snoop-like person she is, goes into Hiroshi's room and messes with the Mol-System. She adjusts it to HER body. So, when Hiroshi transforms into Moldiver, he's got Mirai's body and outfit. Unfortunetly for him, not her voice. So soon enough, Mirai takes over the Mol-ling business (hee hee, Mol-ling). She discovers a Dr. Machinegal's EVEEEEIL (evil) plans to do. . . something. IN any case, he tries to kill her and other (male) Moldiver throughout the series. It's a really cute show and makes you feel and warm and fuzzy inside. Also, it makes you feel very happy that you are not best friends with Mao Shirase.

Storyline

5/5 It was good and fun for all!

Character Delevopment

5/5 You get to know Mirai, Hiroshi and Dr. Machinegal best.

Plot Depth

5/5 The fun lies in the "seriousness" of the last few eps. They are so cheesy! (^_^)

Music

5/5 Happy and fun! (and obnoxious at times. GO MOLDIVER, GO GO MOLDIVER, GO GO!

Sexual Content

5/5 Well, there WAS that one final scene. . . but no, not really any that I can think of.

Nudity

3/5 Well, she transforms into Moldiver naked (sometimes; she learned her lesson), we see Hiroshi KINDOF naked, Nozomu once, the Dolls, etc. No really SERIOUS stuff, almost no detail, too. Normally, there's some stratigically placed object. (leg, arm, foot, etc. Yes, FOOT!)

Violence/Gore

4/5 Some. Someone got ripped in half. That was the VERY goriest scene. Not even that gory. Usually, there was a little blood here or there,

Animation

5/5 Good for the time it was made

Profanity

4/5 A few, nothing too serious.

Overall goodness

5/5 YEAH! We own! We own!

Totals: 46/50, I really liked it. It's a good one!

TOTAL SCORE : 45/50 Doodly-doot.

***We own it on DVD. So dubbed and subbed. We prefer the dubbed. Yeah, we know that's odd, but the japanese voices were way too high and sqeaky for our preference.***
