How to approach and contact professionals during the meetings? For the first time at the SfAA Annual Meetings, the Student Committee will host a Student Orientation session. This session is designed to answer these and other questions, and to guide students on how to navigate
through the meetings in the most successful and productive manner.

- Anne Ballenger (Catholic University of America) Student Committee Chair
- Carla Guerrón-Montero (University of Oregon) Student Representative Executive Board
- Dr. John Young (Oregon State University) SfAA Past President

the second consecutive year, this event will provide one-on-one
counseling to pre-registered students, who will meet and talk
with practitioners, scholars and applied anthropologists.
These professionals will advise students about options and
opportunities within their particular areas of expertise.
More than ten applied anthropologists from a variety of fields
will counsel students during this event.
