We collect and sell the black telephones that see in British theatre productions and period TV Drama's and lately in quiz shows. These types of period phones are becoming increasingly rare and hard to find. These telephones have been converted so that they will function properly when connected to a modern BT telephone exchange. Only then do we put these old antique phones up for sale. On our site you will find highly collectible old working British antique telephones for sale. These old telephones are circa 1920-1960 with a small number of 70's (old not quite antique telephones). These old telephones include the bakelite telephone, the candlestick telephone, 1/232 series phones. Mostly art deco phones, including the classic 300 series black bakelite telephones that you frequently see in old 1950’s films. Many people miss the old telephone that they used to have on display, and want to re-live the joy of a dial telephone or other types of traditional phone. On display and for sale you will see antique bakelite phones, old telephones and collectable telephones. This is the perfect place to see and buy an antique bakelite telephone or antique candlestick telephone. We believe there are very few things as beautiful or collectible as a vintage telephone. How often have you seen a black telephone used as a theatre prop, or on TV (Heartbeat etc) and then thought I would love to buy and own an old telephone like that? We also sell Rockingham pottery (identified by the Griffin Mark) which was produced in Swinton, South Yorkshire, England at a famous pottery that was founded in 1745. This pottery was originally owned by the Brameld family but later renamed the Rockingham Works as a compliment to Earl Fitzwilliam's uncle, the Marquis of Rockingham. The family crest of a griffin was adopted as the factory mark at this point in history. The red griffin mark was used on beautiful Rockingham Pottery between 1826 and 1830. Rockingham produced high quality tea and dessert services in a wide variety of colours and patterns, gaining the pottery a first class reputation for Rockingham ware during the later period of operation.
