Berkeley, A.K.A. the People's Republic of Berkeley, is an Enigma. It is a big
city yet a college town.
Berkeley has both yuppies and hippies. It has the famed Telegraph Avenue shopping district and several "Yuppie Ghettos." There is a politician
who want's to spend a million dollars to "fix" the raccoon population and wildlife fanatics. It is for these contrasts, and many
others that I love Berkeley. It helps that I grew up there too. Needless to say,
I have a large collection of photos, often from just wandering around. I have been adding smattering of photos as time permits. The first collection,
was of the buildings around the U.C. Berkeley Campus. The
second part is photographs from the Berkeley hills. The third is of the
Elmwood District with its fancy homes.
There is no real order in the collections. Its just a rainy day project for me to add photos of
this interesting town to the Net. Any comments, please
E-mail me, .
