for you here like the biggest landsnail and the speed of snails.

The biggest landsnail according to the people at Guiness is an Achatina achatina which measured 15,5 inches which is about 37,5 cm.

Although you don't associate speed with snails some can be relatively quick,the selifera 
snail can travel 18 inches a minute.Helix aspersa snails can reach 17,3 inches a minute
if placed on a smooth surface.

Hibernation and aestivation allow snails to survive cold,hot or dry conditions.Some 
snails can survive in their shell for a longtime.One record shows that a Helix desortorum
snail aestivated from 1846 to 1850 in a British museum.

Snails are strong animals,they can drag 10 times their on weight vertically and 50
times their own weight horizontally.
