Came then Black Friday, that named with good cause
Our project was strangled at birth,
So many hearts were broken and maul'd
as they scattered forth o'er the earth.
We were by stealth and by intrigue betray'd
Our kind was just too bloody good,
Someone had put all our nation in place
In ways they too well understood...
A human condemned is allowed one request
but we had neither movement nor speech
We could do not but await final rest
as dawn rose like a tide on the beach...
