The Season Finale, Family and Friends competition featured great golf, great weather and great friendship at Silver Lake. In the Male/Male Division Al Mockaitis and Drake Reid lapped the field with an amazing 56 winning by 6 shots. In the Male/Female Division, an equally amazing performance was crafted by Ray and Nikki Simokaitis with a score of 54 winning by 4 shots.
After golf, we had our annual banquet. We had a great crowd, the buffet was excellent and a great time was had by all. We began by celebrating Al Rauckinas' 80th birthday and proceeded through a long list of awards (see Tournament Results link).
The Male Golfer of the Year was Tom Vaitkus (32 points), with Rimas Banys and Bob Raudys finishing tied for 2nd with 28 points and with Chester Baksys and Vytas Vaitkus rounding out the top 5 male golfers of the year.
The Female Golfer of the Year was Irena Kleiza (42 points) with Aldona Vaitkus (32 points), and Donna Balta (28 points), Ramune Dagys (26 points) and Ruta Rasutis and Melissa Urba rounding out the top 5 with 22 points each.
We finished up the evening with our annual raffle which raises funds for our club. Thanks to all that donated gifts to the raffle and special thanks to our younger members to be, who helped get the prizes to the winners.
Irena Kleiza finished her two year term as President and Aldona Urba finished her term as Vice President. Thanks to both for their work and effort over the past two years. Irena announced the new Valdyba, led by President Ed Dumblauskas and Vice President Ruta Rasutis, along with the rest of the cast of characters that remains (Chester Baksys, Ramune and Arunas Dagys).
Have a great off season and we hope to see you all in April 2018!
Arunas and Ramune Dagys

Our golf club issues golf indexes which have been approved by the United States
Golf Association. A USGA Handicap Index will be converted to a course handicap and
used in the net competition tournaments that we conduct. Having a golf index enables
golfers of varied abilities to compete on an equal basis. We will post all tournament
scores, but in order for your USGA golf index to be valid, it is required that all
of your golf scores, with name of course, tee used, adjusted score with course rating
and slope, be posted. You can do this by contacting Arunas Dagys by phone, or preferably
sending this information to him by e-mail at ArunasD@sbcglobal.net. Directions for
adjusting the golf score, as well as the current golf indexes/handicaps for all
club members, are available by visiting the club's web site.
