Our late Commander, John West, conducted a Memorial Service on 9/11/2002 at Floyd Bennett Post 1060, to remember those lost one year ago at the hands of terrorists.
 

A wreath was placed by, a Fireman, Policeman, President of the World War Memorial, President of the Auxiliary Unit, and the Unit's Gold Star Mother.

"Blue Star Service Banners" were given to those present who had family members in the Armed Services.

Also recognized, were family members who lost a loved one on 9/11.

There were many dignitaries from the community, Police & Firemen, Legionnaires, & Auxiliary members in attendance.
