Josh got the first takedown with a quick move behind Mike Griffith of Lakeside for a 2-0 lead.

Griffith escaped near the edge of the mat in the second round to make the score 2-1.

Griffith became only the second wrestler to takedown Josh this year with a late 2nd round Td for a 3-2 lead.

Josh reversed in the third to regain the lead 4-3.

Griffith was not finished. Off the ref's whistle Griffith sat out and reversed Josh for a 5-4 lead with 1:10 left in the match.

Josh waited until 30 seconds were left to make his move. He came out the back door on Griffith and with 14 seconds left he grabbed Griffith's leg and controlled him just long enough to gain the reverse and a 6-5 lead. Josh held on for the final 14 seconds for the state title.
